So as the MOT was passed last month I decided to refit the non-airbag steering wheel.
I have made up a small loom (from a broken airbag squib) so that the airbag ecu can be left in place and with a 2.7 Ohm resistor fitted between the two yellow wires the airbag light functions correctly, other than that the brown/white wire had to be extended a little and a bullet connector adding to the end (for the horn to function).
