So this winters mods have begun ................

Late last year I bought a pair of brand new rear brake calipers, I removed the small parts from the calipers and then smoothed off the rough casting marks. Next job was to paint them.

Ready for painting

ProAlloy 48 litre fuel tank, standard tank holds 36 litres and weighs 5 Kg more than this alloy version :wtf:

Some nice bit you have there neil.... cracking paint job on the calipers to, what paint did you use

just three coats of Halfords blue caliper paint :thumbup:

I also bought these brand new side repeaters last year, so I fitted those today 😃

I also fitted the boot weight label and new dipstick - to match the new oil filler and coolant tank caps

And the brand new naca ducts, which were only £2 each from Lotus :clap:

I cannot remember whether I have posted a pic of the exhaust 'bump' on the rear diffuser, but here it is anyway (y)

Then finally I started the stripdown, again :LOL:

I've made NACA ducts for the Airbus family. A little more expensive than £2 though.

I can live with £4.25 for the pair, but don't think I could afford Airbus naca ducts :lol:

so whipped the rear clam off today, it took 9 seconds to disconnect the clam wiring and bootlock 😃

Last year I fitted a Denso 60Amp alternator, this saved 5Kg in weight :clap:
I also made a dipstick bracket mounted off the new alternator bracket

The best thing about making your own exhaust is you can fit the lambda sensor in the correct spot (y)

Next job was to remove the backbox and cat sections

so today I changed the M32 6th gear, so now I have the corsa vxr cruising 6th gear rather than the alfa sprint 6th gear 😃

this is the corsa 6th gear fitted and the original parts laid out, so simply remove clip, pull bearing and slide off original. I heated the new bearing and it slid on without a fight 😃

the input shaft gears, this time I had to pull off the bearing and gear, but again after heating the gear and bearing for several minutes with a hot air gun they simply fell on :clap:
