That's what I came up with today ;-) Only cause I don't know if the intake pipe supplies enough vacuum for the EVAP. 10 quid one-way valve should do the trick 😉
Dave_Gilbert I cant comment on the above, im going standard setup. But on another note. Iv been told to go off the end of the injector rail with the boost gauge, it will show boost and vac im told N not to mess with the little pipe I circled. So im gonna try the injector rail for boost gauge

Dave_Gilbert Progress has been abit slow today. apparently you need to put the fuel pipes in first before the subframe or engine or steering rack so there a propper bitch to get in but there in now. thank fuck for that, nightmare. Also found out that the knock sensor on a net engine is part of the coil ecu thing(that I really need from @[deleted]) but im sure hes avoiding me so he gets built before me hahaha. So I either take the knock sensor out the front of the engine or just strap the wire up out the way. need to find the crank sensor wire for the trigger wheel and fit that next. Getting there.
Dave_Gilbert Not got alot done but got fuel pipes connected up. and trigger wheel all fitted, theres a spacer in the middle of the crank pulley that didnt want to fit so had to get filed slightly. all fitted up but need to get the feeler gauges out to make sure its right but cant be far out. found my bracket n modified that to cover the egr port on the front of the head. N done abit of painting. Plodding on.
Dave_Gilbert now im on the laptop i can run through what i did today. to fit the trigger wheel it says to set piston 1 at TDC, not sure why because the crank pulley only goes on 1 way and the trigger wheel fits to the pulley 1 way so it has to be set right, but i followed the instructions to the letter. so the threads on the pulley have never been used so needed a good clean out with the tap. easy to fit to the pulley but not as easy to get in the car, had to take 1 of the bolts out so i could get it in then rotate it and put the bolt back in when it was in position. but not sure where it plugs in. anyone know. ? @[deleted] shows a timing mark on pic but i had to put my own on. cleaning the threads out spacers in position new timing mark(white nail varnish, thanks marie) pulley removed and bottom bolts out for bracket need to find the socket for this plug found the bracket for the external sensor(not sure what its sensing but it lives here) had to cut it off the water pipe as the fitting is different on the net head, so using my pipe and cut the bracket to cover the egr hole. as you can see it almost covers the hole so i have added a small amount of steel to cover it completely and painted it(no photo painted yet as its still drying) this is with added steel but no paint. its not perfect but its close enough.
Dave_Gilbert Great news everyone First is my new rocker cover is here and im wrll happy with how it looks(custom but standard to me anyway) And just got off the phone with adrian flux. iv told them that im bolting a turbo on and a stainless exhaust but do I need to go into details? Like all the other slightly different parts? Like the inlet manifold, injectors, rocker cover wireing loom ecu etc etc. Air filter??
milo Would be best then no come backs or pm the Adrian flux guy on the forum i think he called dan, go see carl thread
Dave_Gilbert Iv just been thinking about this build and I wouldnt have been able to do any of it without everyones help. Especially @[deleted] its all your fault from going in your car, thanks for helping with Drilling n tapping my cradle and all the useful info you have provided. @[deleted] for all the brilliant alloy welding @[deleted] for the trigger wheel @[deleted] for the egr blanking plate. @[deleted] for all the info. And everyone else for spuring me on sorry if iv missed anyone out who has helped me along the way. I cant wait for it to be finished. Any guesses on how much fully comp insurance will be with adrian flux?
KevinH It depends on a lot of things: Voluntary excess. Is cover for driving abroad required. Do you want to insure for limited mileage. Need of hire/replacement car in case of an accident.
Dave_Gilbert I get third party extension windscreen cover I said I only do 3500miles ayear loads of other stuff like legal cover n key cover etc. 250quid excess.
Dave_Gilbert Just been to the donor car and got the crank sensor and a pipe I missed. but I think im gonna have issues. Any ideas?
evocarlos use the sensor provided ? Dave Gilbert said: Iv just been thinking about this build and I wouldnt have been able to do any of it without everyones help. Dave_Gilbert I think I will have to, just need to figger out what wire is what and what the plug is I need. I thought I could just use the net sensor but its massive. Im gonna have a few hours on it tomorrow.
Dave_Gilbert Thats way to complicated for me Im really no good with wiring diagrams. I will get the colours of the wires on the loom and the wires on the sensor and come back to you.
Dave_Gilbert I need a socket for this plug. Any ideas? and a socket for this plug would be great. so i can make a conversion/extention cable.
