iv drawn around the fitting roughly where I want it fitting. I think on the back next to the part numbers perfect. (I think haha)

it doesnt really matter much where it is because iv got to make the pipe to fit aswell.

just the back next to the part number looked like a nice easy place.

Ah ok cool I reckonise the bit now, hopefully it will weld back on fine and not just vanish with the heat. Thinking pulse Tig will be best

Just ordered the an fitting to bolt onto the bottom.of the turbo for the oil return and the last straight fitting to go onto said fitting.

just need sealant for the sump
oil
oil filter
and coolant.

ohh and the map but money is nearly there for that.

But sm tuning is really busy and may have to wait a few weeks for him to fit me in.

Im measuring bolt holes for either an fittings or banjo bolts
so for the water pipe from the thermostat housing I need a AN 10 fitting to go in a hole where this bolt was. I believe its a m14x1.5 banjo bolt, could someone confirm this please?

And I have to find out what this hole is. The caliper inside measures 11mm and the threads are 1.5

im guessing its m12x1.5 I have a an fitting that size but the nut on it gets in the way so I cant thread it in to check..... just gonna have to buy 1 n gamble it for now I think

Sorry carl, the banjo bolt is gonna be replaced with a AN fitting. I just wanted to check the size its 14mm and 1.5 so I assume thats m14x1.5 AN10 FITTING.

and the hole in the turbo is about 11mm acoording to my micrometer and the threads are 1.5 so I assume its m12x1.5 (I will need a banjo bolt for that)

yes 14mm and 1.5 is m14x1.5
is the hole in the turbo 11.5mm ? then it would be m12

Yeh my battery has died in the digital part of the guage so its just has I read it, so about 11mm 11.5mm im sure the AN fitting iv got would fit but the spanner part gets in the way so I cant be 100%.

I will buy 1 its only a few quid if its wrong, cheers carl.

Sorry been working, welding some fitting on a ridiculously bad porous thermostat housing for some bloke off Internet :p😉

Change the battery and double check size, what make is the turbo? As some use JIC fittings

Garrett turbo's normal use M14x1.5 for the waterbanjo's (on all my turbo's they do). The Oilfeed on the turbo is something differtent: M11x1.5 (or 7/8 strange size). Not sure if this is on your specific turbo.

For waterline size 6AN is enough (well, for mine).

Im useing m14x1.5 AN 10 for the water from thermostat and standard from front of engine.

so it will be a full pipe of an10 for water.

iv ordered a m12x1.5 banjo bolt for the turbo but its only a couple of quid so I will see if it fits.

Im just struggling to find the banjo for the back of the block but I may have sortes that. Thats a m12x1.75.
