Got a mega delivery at home today

Cat back scorpion system (coupe turbo 2.5")
1m of 316 stainless straight pipe (2.5")
45 + 90 316 stainless degree bends (2.5")
Stainless steel 2.5" flexi
2 x lamba bungs
2.5" bolt flange with gasket
New bolts for FLANGE
magnaflow sport cat

Car booked in at exhaust place for it to be fitted and welded. Last big mod before Xmas, then after that have to look into either getting forged engine or leave as is and move onto another car.

Now back home all I can say I had a wonderful time at Chris (@[deleted]) and Julia 🙂. Great weekend all round went out out in each others cars and @[deleted] your van is rapid my friend well rapid!! Had a good chat and compared charger set up. Then take away time!! with a couple of they friends and up drinking till 3am. All in all tho I couldn't of had a better weekend if I tried! Chris and Julia once and again mega thanks for having me stay and feeling so welcome and next time we'll be fucking the cars off and out on the town 🙂.

Need help plz @[deleted] @[deleted] @[deleted] @[deleted]

Not running right....engine light on and got 2 codes on Ofcom p0507 high rpm detected and power enrichment lean.

Cleared faults and the revs shoot upto 2.5k and hold then the enigne light comes on, the revs drop down and the hunting starts (same fault comes back p0507 high rpm detected, ever time clear faults same thing repeats over).

I took the coupe for a run with engine light on and it boosts to just over 12psi and runs fine in high rpm, but on tick over is all over the shop. Does it sound like an air leak? I've got the got booked in to get a new centre silencer fitted as the baffle has blown in it and the centre silencer is vibrating the car connected?

P0507 points towards the TB or you might have an air leak on the inlet manifold - cylinder head, have you fitted the lower inlet mount and the bolt ?

Yeah the kit from Jeff came with the support bracket and I'm sure Carl fitted it. What happens if that bracket wasn't fitted vocky? Would that damage the head? Going to put talc powder on see if sucking in anywhere.

I did have a throttle body issue when charger first fitted after the remap but it cured it self. I'll strip it down as easy to do and check out gaskets. Of they all ok I go see about changing the throttle body.

Update....

Found a pipe off at the fuel rail that connects to the boost gauge pipe, reconnected that but sadly no change it did idle at 1500 rpm on tick over down from 2500rpm. I've got such a weird whistle noise on tick over and it seem to coming from the snout/pulley side. So going to take the charger off and replace the gaskets on the supercharger>inlet manifold(thinking that's were its leaking) and inlet>head gasket. Order them all from CS so I owe another couple % in that company (prices are high). @[deleted] do u have a lsj throttle body in case mine is dead?(If i give the car the full beans it goes like stink and soon as I let off the throttle u think I've got a train whistle installed:confused🙂 Or know of anyone on vx220 forum that may have one? Plus my mate telling me its down to an exhaust leak??

So hopefully gaskets here for the weekend and lets hope its a straight fix.

sounds like you have worked it out?
air leak some where?
mine does similar sometimes on start up but a tiny bit of load and she's fine. never any codes or a problem when driving.
thinking mine could be down to brake servo line as brakes are not as good, harder pedal? :confused:
still fast enough to beat a Porsche cayenne 4.5v8 turbo s with free flow exhaust and remap. 😃

sounds like the MAP or TMAP sensor gasket seal is leaking (y)

Get some brake cleaner and spray around gaskets etc and if you get a sudden rise in revs then that's the area to investigate further. Exhaust leak at manifold and after won't cause the problem you have

Right then.....

Stripped the car down changed all the gaskets, made sure map sensor/bolts all nicely tightened up.....but car still not right.

So went round spraying all vacuum pipes no splits or leaks found, with a fresh set pair of eyes and ears and great help from my dad we've pinned pointed the whistle noise and location down to the actuator. soon u slightly touch it the revs rocket up and if put your ear close you can hear the noise is coming from that, so I've got @[deleted] sending me up his actuator up in post as I think the diaphragm in the actuator must of split. Next job will be to change that and that is the problem trying to source a brand new one.

Will keep you all informed and as usual a massive thanks to all that helped out on where to start looking 🙂(y)

When yours went carl, did u have the same symptoms/noise? I've seen them going for around $150 for brand new one.

Watched the video and my noise is very very similar to that, well at least new gaskets on anyway cheers for that video carl as that just confirms I've 90% sure what the fault is.

i got mine new from jeff as a kit
and i dont remember any real effects other than boost not holding on the long runs
