Morning all another update on my progress with the air leak.
Had @[deleted] actuator on the car and it made no difference so at least I know mine is fine:rolleyes:.
So armed with brake cleaner went looking for this leak , had the engine running spraying all the vacuum pipes one by one and no change In revs extra so no leaks. Started spraying around the intake manifold and all of a sudden the engine revs drop and engine light goes off!!
So started to strip it all back down and to my horror and disblief what I found was shocking. I had snapped bolts put into the head with washers which had come lose as well(will add pics soon to show u all the state of the bolts). Looks like when the original intake was taken off 2 bolts had snapped in the head and this quick fixed was used to resolve that. Which isn't good specially if your not aware of that.
Also the I've got the support bracket fitted for the intake manifold but the bolt was never put which in my opinion has caused my issues to surface from over time the extra weight on those snapped bolts put into the head. (btw @[deleted] did mention earlier on in the thread did I have that bracket on so once again right on the money).
So to rectify the problem I'm in we've carfully drilled the snapped bolts put and retapped them all to m8 as recommend by @[deleted] and order all new gaskets and a brand bolt for the support bolt for the manifold bracket all thanks to @[deleted] .
So next update will be soon hopefully have the car done over the weekend.
