Starting to buy the parts I need to get a sports car put into the coupe. I need to know what sports cat u recommend (200 cell), what bends I'll need (45/90etc stainless steel), what size is the lambs sensor hole? (m18?), how long of a flexi I need and where to get the flange for where the down pipe bolts into the end of the manifold.

Need to source the stuff asap as the car booked in for Wednesday to get done.

lambda is m18, either a 150cpi or 200cpi cat, metallic NOT ceramic as they will not stand the heat as well. at least 4" long flexi.
what bore are you running and what power are you going for? over 270bhp you ideally need 3" bore and a cat that will cope with 300+bhp.
don't use infinity exhausts, mine has failed after 500mile and warranty is void as I removed the system and refitted old one so I could still drive the car, just unbolted it. quality once off is sh1t. unsure what to do now? buy a tig welder and the parts to make a proper one or go to a specialist?

My baffle has gone in my cobra exhaust and it sounds awful!! So going to get a new 2.5'' system from the manifold flange all the way to the back then only got to sort out a new manifold as mine got a massive crack in it now.

I have heard that cobra are not that great when it comes to exhausts, the cat looks very cheep? I couldn't see what power handling it was capable of?
dbilas manifolds are good if ported to match head and outlet to down pipe. that's what I have since the standard one cracked in the Vectra. been on for over 80k miles now 🙂

my cobras fine 🙂 although i dont have the life time warranty any more since fitting the v-band clamps

the 200cell i bought was £70 and stainless steel shell

I'll get the magnaflow one for now my cat is shagged anyway :rolleyes: and this system is getting a centre silencer in it for the bloody noise🙂.

Now off for 2wks so I can spend some time on the coupe getting small jobs done after the exhaust done. If anyone comes across a standard manifold cheap let me know

I wouldn't spend a penny on cobra they don't last as internals burn out of them.

I used the original downpipe and cut it where it flares into the pre cat, I then welded the 2.5" to there. I ended up using two 90 and one 45 degree bends I think. The flexy joint is what you can see in picture below.

Hey bud long time no see 🙂

I'm dropping the car off soon and its going to be stainless from the flange etc and I've bought a coupe turbo scorpion cat back system to replace the cobra :poop:

Where did you buy your flange gasket from?

I get my gaskets from Vauxhall, don't forget to get 3x new nuts for the manifold to down pipe as well (y)

Going to be changing the oil on the charger this week, what do i use to reseal the snout back to the charger?
