Im not sure bud, but imagine i could get away with it as carl linked earlier on. I prob go for the cs clutch then i can get a csc for £119 but waiting to hear if its a gm on copy one.

Would it not be cheaper for you to buy the clutch from Auto Vaux at £129 and then the genuine CSC from Neo's at £85 .

From my EPC the Z20LET clutch cover requires 8 bolts (part # 90444148) and they are different to the Z22SE. :confused:

Therefore I'm doubtful as to whether the holes would line up to the flywheel but someone else (e.g. Carl) may be able to confirm this.

It depending what bhp it can handle as cs said they put fast road one on 300bhp let with now issues.

Another thing to think about is the sub frame bushes.

My understanding from the z20let guys the CS one is just a standard C20LET clutch but I cannot confirm that.

Have looked at EPC for Astra G with Z20LET (L70) and the clutch kit is part # 93185897 (with CSC) and this requires 6 bolts. (sorry for the confusion).

According to many members on Z20let lovers the standard C20let one can handle very high BHP and torque

They use the standard 14 spline c20let LUk clutch kit and Z20let FTE slave, up to around 310lb-ft toque they are rated too 🙂

Out of interest and I never found out what the Saab clutch kit is for our F23 box?

I got quoted around £150 - £230 on labour as it is a subframe drop job.

Also you can get a genuine GM CSC from neo brothers for about £85 last time I looked just couldn't match a GM to Saab part for the clutch.

im sure it was the viggen that had the f23 🙂 no confirmation tho

the f40 clutch wont fit at all it for use with dual mass

people use the c20let clutch on the z20lets that are up to 300hp and over the z20let one is like 280hp the z22se is rated for 147hp but seems fine up to 280 the same as the z20let

You don't necessarily have to change the transmisson oil when renewing the clutch but you will require new brake/clutch fluid for the CSC which will have to be bled through.

F23 Transmission Fluid:
To GM Specifications 1940768 - part # 9120541
Capacity - appx 1.75 Litres

@[deleted] the process of removing the subframe and gearbox requires you to pull the driveshafts out this would spill the oil if not drained

also dont use oil in the gear box its ploppy in the f23 get the red ATF/MTF
2.3l of oil on refill

I've tried a C20LET clutch on a z22se and it fits fine. The standard LUK will do between 280-320bhp dependent on torque, I will be running a Helix 4 or 6 paddle in mine and they will handle more power than you could possibly put through it with the SC

i went with the 5 puck for better drivability and it was only £290 with the cover 🙂

GM Transmission fluid part # 9120541 has in fact been superseded to 93165290 which is red.

Some F23 gearboxes should have 0.5L overfill if there is a mark (yellow) at the bottom of the filler plug.
