cool will get 2 oil feeds blanks made up and let you know 🙂
i was just going to use a 20mm core plug but could get the blanks made easy my guy at work helps me out quite a bit 🙂

heres what i got a tapered top and space for the orignal o-ring 🙂

crank and thermostat housing were the parts i needed 🙂

also stopped and got some socket adapters for the battery drill to help screw bolts in and out 🙂

i will have to measure the crank and polish the journals

not easy to come by, bet that one was a lot cheeper than a new one!

£20 for the shaft and the thermostat housing 🙂
took me under 3 hours to strip the block get it out and remove the crank
its in fairly good nick considering the hole lower block was full of water 🙂
will measure it up and give it a polish

bought a set of digital calipers today and it was to much of a pain to read dads classic style ones

measured each journal on the crank

standard sizes from the gm build book

i then went on to clean the crank journals with carb cleaner and a scotch pad
looks much better it will get 90* measured after its all clean and see where i stand 🙂

cleaned up the other bits
but found a bit of pitting at the flywheel end not sure if its a problem or not

this is the sensor location @TDC

and shortly after TDC comes the sync pulse

crank in and covered with wd40 so to keep it rust free till next time i get in the bat cave

measured the crank again and still get it to bigger than the spec's lol

2 MIC gage's ordered
ones a draper expert digital 50-75mm
the other is normal type but 25-50mm
have also bought the internal measuring devices so i can check the porting work to the head

looks expensive 🙂

I do like the mitutoyo verniers used to use their stuff when I work in fabrication, we found it much more accurate than cheeper brands and better life span. (y)
