i got all the parts from jeff so dont know any pt numbers
the cap will better fit the engine bay and make it look more symmetrical with the 2 bottles
the repair plug is stronger than the factory bolt and i hear the #94 springs are ruff on the chain set so won't hurt to have some extra beef just there
the pipe and thermostat housing im hoping to gain some room down the back of the engine and then with the thermostat cap the extra pipe will help plum in the oil cooler

The front rail top repair bolts are an ingenious idea - I believe they were first made by a guy called Michael Brandt.

They just screw into the block and hold the guide rigidly in place, and as Carl says they are much stronger than the original bolts.🙂

or an elec water pump 🙂 maybe i will need to see as the equal length half shaft is pretty close there

i almost bought the billet alloy pulley from there a year ago but never got round to it
yes mobil 1 5/30 will now have to be used lol

£16 for 2 day air mail beats the shit out of the uk shipping costs i bet a standard yellow oil cap new in the uk is like £80 lol

The caps are only yellow so the WAGs have a clue where all the fluids go - as if they ever look under the bonnet !

That only works if you have a dealer that sells parts nearby. My nearest one closed and was replaced by a Go Vauxhall but don't think they do parts.

AutoVaux are about the cheapest online but unless you are near Wakefield, Yorkshire there will be delivery charges, however the part # is for the standard yellow oil filler cap. Try a google on 'vauxhall 24454629' then click 'images'.

Yes, Go Vauxhall are only a sales outfit. I believe your nearest parts dealer would be FG Barnes in Guildford (a bit of a trip). I'll 'pm' you Pete.

its a good job theres a brand new set of forged rod in the package as well as the parts on the previous page 🙂 hehe

parts came this morning

rods

the thermostat housing and tube LNF at the bottom and z22se at the top
@[deleted] this will fit the f23 and it has a turbo water return 🙂 and the extra pipe for the oil cooler

it also looks like the thermostat cap is interchangeable with the z22se one (i need to confirm this)

upgrade guide bolt / repair plug

did not quite meet the block with the guide in but would once tightened down

also theres a bit of a lip on the guide that hold it out a little

put some blue tack on the piston to check the valves were missing them at full height
head went on and the chain all timed up with z22se sprokets 🙂

after 2 full turns and taking the head back off no marks on the inlet side 🙂
