Tommy_TwinCams Hey What's going on?! I'm Tommy, I'm 23, and my car is a 2004 Saturn Ion with an L61 2.2L (Z22SE). I live in Shelton, Connecticut, USA, but a love for cars transcends culture. Matt Oh, and the Recaro seats you have fitted look very similar to the Recaro seats we have in the MK4 Astra GSI over here. https://z22se.co.uk/threads/gsi-seat-fitment.24064/

Tommy_TwinCams Thanks for the warm welcome! More photos of the seats. They're from a 2006 Saturn Ion Redline (2.0L supercharged Ecotec, LSJ) which came standard with them, so they bolt right into the standard Ion.
Tommy_TwinCams 5M1THY said: Welcome 🙂 I like them seats where can I get the fronts from lol. Lol. in the USA, those seats were used on 2 cars. The Saturn Ion Redline and the Chevrolet Cobalt SS Supercharged. The seats were an extra cost option on the Cobalt and standard equipment on the Saturn. You can tell which seats are from which car. Cobalt SS Recaro's have the "SS" logo embroidered above the Recaro logo while Saturn ones don't. As you should know, the Cobalt and Ion are more closely related to the 2005+ Astra than anything else you got.
5M1THY I'm going on a hunt for these seats :-) mine are very similar but the recaro badge is black so hard to see and they don't have the light coloured stitching
Tommy_TwinCams You'll either hunt for a while or pay through the nose. Took me just shy of 2 years to find those seats. People generally don't get rid of them. Too comfy and too good at holding you in during cornering. The seats were optional only on 2005-2007 Cobalts because the fact is Chevrolet relied on Saturn for the seats. Saturn discontinued the Ion and Ion Redline after 2007 and after that, the Recaro seats disappeared from the Cobalt's option list.
5M1THY That's no good I'm glad you told me that though I would of searched for days or though I have just noticed they won't move forward I have a van and my seats are out of a 3 door so I can put stuff behind and have easy access so I couldn't anyway

Note the bar underneath the front of each seat. pulling up on that allows it to move forward and back. Also, I'm not sure they'll bolt into your Astra. The seat rails have 2 hooks at the front which go into the chassis and the seat is held in by 2 bolts at the back.

That's the same as how they fit over here.
Tommy_TwinCams I know that. Sadly the Saturn Astra was only sold in 2008 and 2009, didn't sell well and was powered only by the 1.8L A18XER. Why they didn't use the Z22SE which was used in the Cobalt until 2010 is beyond me.
evocarlos it would have done much better with the lnf 🙂 shame they never pushed the car over there
Tommy_TwinCams Eh. I'm sure someone will pioneer a swap for them here. It'll just take a while before someone realizes it. Also LNF = Saturn Astra Redline 😃 I actually almost bought a 2008 Saturn Astra (5 speed manual, 1.8L, 3 door hatch) instead of the Ion, but the salesman at the dealer was an @$$hole who completely ignored me and said I was wasting his time.
