2.2 Astra van (Supercharged)

Been really busy lately so just been driving the van not had much time to do anything.
Yesterday I put new kuhmo tyres on the front new inner wheel arches and new clips and another oil and filter change..
Thought I'd add a few new pics as I've cleaned it a fair bit recently and it's looking pretty good 🙂

Haven't been around for a while been very busy working on my house which has meant I've had no time to work on the van lately either... I've put a new driveshaft on it and that's about it tbh

Well my van has been a proper work horse lately I've been working 6-7 days a week then coming home and working on my own house.
The vans still running spot on even though it's used daily on the base map. I'm hoping to fit a 2.5in exhaust and maybe a sports cat before Xmas and I've got whiteline arb for the rear to go on and I'm hoping to get it mapped soon after Xmas if I haven't blown it up by then.
It amazes me how people say these engines are crap, okay I service it religiously once a month but I've raced all sorts of cars used it in all weather's for all sorts of jobs and it's not even mapped properly yet it starts on the button and drives faultlessly every day.

It's definitely a tool lol I can't wait to get it mapped to remove the stupid limiter if nothing else but I do need to change the exhaust first and I've got no holiday left so ill have to wait till Jan

hoping to take mine back for a map tweak in jan if I have a 3" exhaust by then? or have z22se corsa no2 built. 🙂

Yeah get the exhaust done!! Jan not far away so it gives u plenty of time to sort jobs out on it.

They be copies out they or going to be made but yours will always look spot on.

I'm just going to have a 2.5" for now I'm going to put the engine etc in a car no one will copy eventually so I'm just going to get what I've got running perfect for now.
Yours is always looking great I did see it at combe but I went over pretty much straight after I saw you and I think you were still looking around

It's on the cards I missed out on that miltek on but ill find another tbh I think I've got access to tools to make one which will be good.
I dunno if another ones being built or not but mine was the first 2.2 and the first supercharged one and I never thought it would be the only one forever but I've got plans to build something no one will expect and tbf as much as I like mk4 vans there old news now everyman and his dog is modifying them I want something diffrent as a toy then a normal diesel work van to earn me money

Well I've finally found a decent miltek exhaust it's a full turbo back system for a coupe turbo so all I need to do is change the turbo bit to fit my manifold which is easy enough from I can tell it's nearly a £700 exhaust I got for 250 and abit of postage on top so well happy

Well my weekend work has finally slowed down so last night I parked the van at my dads and next week in the evenings I can finally start working on it again 🙂
It won't be getting driven again until the exhaust, fuel pump, I'm taking the rear axle off and going to re align it as I'm certain it's not in the middle as one wheel catches the arch and the other is miles away.
Also I've got a whiteline anti roll bar and 17in wheels as I want to get the van handling well so I can take it on some track days.
Also in spring it's getting both rear arches replaced the roof repaired and vinyl removed and the whole van resprayed flame red while there doing it there sorting abit of rust on the shock turret and abit on the rear valence then it should be mint.

I also managed to get a genuine bonnet extension it wasn't cheap but it's gm stamped so I'm happy.
