I've started the filler neck I've known it's been like it since I've had the van and only just decided to tackle it.. It's not as bad here as it's not on show so ill try here first and see how it goes.

Not bad for 17 years I scrapped the flakey paint off and smothered it with fertan today

You will need to blend the paint in woth the g3 cuttting compound.

Went to a local meet on Saturday and went and won car of the meet lol didn't even no they were doing it tbh

I've had enough of my clutch slipping now and I've always known at some point the subframe bushes need replacing so the time has come to do the clutch lightened flywheel csc subframe bolts and bushes and while I'm there droplinks track rod ends and the equal length drive shafts..
Tonight I've stripped both wheel arches of brakes suspension shafts etc I left the hubs as ill take them off with the subframe..tomorrow I just need to work out how to disconnect the steering rack either from the car or from the subframe then take it off the gearbox side of things is Easy but I've never done subframe bushes and I've heard they can be abit of a bastard lol

not sure on the astra but other vauxhal's have a pinch bolt clamp inside the car to steering rack, undo and pull the joint back up off rack and the rack will come away with sub frame.

I'm on my way to my dad's now to start round 2 cheers for the info once I've disconnected the power steering and rack I've just got to get the subframe undone one bolt will have to be cut as the weld had broken and just spins and the other side doesn't look to good either but I do have a big impact gun 🙂

17 or 19mm spanner on the encapsulated nut

Well the sub frames all undone it's still in but ready to come out tomorrow as I got lumbered sorting a mates car..
I had a thought today I need new flywheel bolts..
Where can I get some by Saturday any ideas?

Vauxhall or arp supplier, think they are the same length as c20xe/let bolts?
may well have a set here genuine gm ones if you get stuck?

Got mine from autovaux weren't that expensive.

Got some from vauxhall in the end pick them up in the morning 🙂
The subframe out all the old bushes are out trouble is the new ones aren't the same. I'm going to speak with vauxhall tomorrow as they fit but look different there either wrong or they've changed them

Got the subframe out and the old bushes. The clutch and flywheel will be done tomorrow as there easy now.
I've got to pick up the flywheel bolts from vauxhall tomorrow and I need to check these bushes to make sure they are right..
I've also ordered some fuel lines as mine have always been wrong and it's easy to do with nothing in the way 🙂
Also the guy I brought the vectra equal length shafts from got his listing wrong as it was listed as a z22se and it's clearly a yh as it's wrong so I might not bother with that yet as ill want to see it before I buy another one

Yeah there m32 I even emailed the guy to make sure it was f23 but I've has them ages I can't even find the listing now which is annoying
