5M1THY I can't seem to find matching front discs I've found ones the same but there black and the rears are silver so will look odd
corsaZ22se ive never been a fan of groved disc's for a road car. to much brake judder and shorter life span. pagid do smooth disc's in silver.
dewismotorsport I've used red stuff and never found them noisy, I have yellow stuff all round and I think they bite well even from cold and work well on track. The silver and black makes no difference after a couple of presses of the pedal (y)
5M1THY Tbh the gm discs I've got on the front have always been pretty good i think them and decent pads will be okay for now there almost brand new and have no lip at all so it would be stupid to take them off atm I think..
5M1THY Has anyone got a picture of how the vectra c top coolant hose is fitted as mine is touching the cs pulley so as soon as I start it it will rub through instantly and there isn't a lot of room at all having said that with aircon is the cs pulley at the bottom of the bracket? Mines at the top
5M1THY Well that's forging the engine out the window for a while but if all goes well I will own a 3 bedroom house with a garage for the van and a drive for the cars 🙂 needs alot of work inside but I'm always up for a project
milo 5M1THY said: Does anyone have any ideas what can stop the temp gauge working other than the thermostat? CTS sensor
5M1THY It's not the gauge as I've tried three instrumen panels but it could be the wiring to it or something. I'm going to get another cts and see if that helps
5M1THY Well as always with the van I've got problems however I have sorted the main coolant hose I brought a reinforced flexible pipe so it fits nice with no kinks I wasn't happy with the vectra one... I changed the front calipers sorted the vacuum hose to the charger fitted the battery and air filter with the air sensor in the pipe between the filter and tb and wired up the boost gauge I'm not going to do the oil temp or pressure until after pvs orthough I might wire them up so they light up as it looks odd atm
evocarlos what issue with the vec c pipe ? had no trouble with the 3 ive fitted the shape is just right once you cut the extra crap off
5M1THY I wouldn't say I had any issues it's just the hose is flimsy and when I tied it back it doesn't look right so for less than the vec pipe cost I got a nice pipe with metal wire inside it to support it which meant I can really pull it around and it looks good
evocarlos pictures say a 1000s words 🙂 i looked at the tube with wire in but had a right game getting the bend to miss the supercharger snout the vec c pipe just clears the lot and when fitted and cut to the right length it sits right the output on the rad is a bit of a pain but nout we can do about that
5M1THY I had the vec one spot on I just didn't like how it was from the rad It must be fine as like you say a few cars now have the same pipe but I fitted the one with wire in and it looks so much stronger plus it's hard enough thst I've clamped it back and it's not going anywhere. The pictures crap as my batter was on 5% and the flash wouldn't work ill get a better one but you get the Idea
