Dave_Gilbert i wouldnt go that far, i bet u could get a stamp made for less n stamp any part hahaha, theres a big problem.with the gm parts idea, i know your engine is gm but it would never have been fitted to a van would it?

I'm just seeing what happens it's bought and paid for and not going anywhere so I'll get there one day.

5M1THY Nice. .. 🙂 cheers for that I'll order them now for that much lol I was after gm mats too my ones are old and tired. my local dealer didn't mention they couldn't get them bur then he had a big list to look for so probably just wanted rid of me 🙂 lol
5M1THY I spent a bit of time on the Megane engine today basically stripped everything off it painted the steel block factory black and the aluminium sump and head silver then painted the plastic coolant pipe and thermostat housing anthracite, as well as a couple of brackets and the block that protects the fuel rail :-) ill do the Cambelt tomorrow now that's done then finish painting the gearbox then fit new clutch and the flywheel. I dunno yet but I want to try and fit the engine Tuesday night.
5M1THY cambelt and water pump done today and as this engine was in a auto car I've changed the flywheel over and fitted the new clutch. I'll hopefully get a couple mates round on Tuesday and lift it back in.. I've got a clio 200 exhaust manifold I want to see if it fits too lol once this is on the road I can have some proper fun with the van 🙂
