today was prepping the engine cover for the hydro dip and had some arch spats to do for a mates van to be fitted after the arches are repaired
cover taken apart

spats bent back into shape with the heat gun then filler and prepped

cover sanded with the das and 240grit

2 pack primered cover

and spats in primer 🙂

im doing the prep and finishing and the lad who's supplying the film is fitting it if he does a bad job then i will get a tank and do it diy 🙂

I was doing my research concerning to the caliper carriers, I've found the next part numbers 93179706 and 93179705, but I want to ask you if this are the right ones, I've found an Ebay seller wich selling me for a very good price. Just want to be sure prior to pay him.

The brackets you bought were the same part number or different covering left and right side?

i found the paperwork i had printed from vauxhall parts guy 8 years ago with the part numbers for discs and caliper brackets

93179706 applies for Left and Right isnt?

yes two of 93179706 they're the same for left and right
i may have the receipt somewhere ""runs to go check""

full 308 brake setup with gsi ducts dated 2007 🙂

Yes you need two.. The other part number is for another size, probably 280's

revision 2 🙂
removed more plastic on the lower trim so i could get the stick longer then added a 3rd nut to the gap and welded it in place

fitted a bolt to the left and right movement to take up the slack 🙂

2 new nankangs and a caliper repair kit from bigred in the post 🙂
the kit (maybe a vid of how to 🙂)

standard astra g 2.2 calipers are 57/25 as cast into the caliper 57 = piston size in mm and 25= disc width in mm 🙂

will take the front apart next week and fit the new ss brake lines and the new bleed nipples/caps to front an rear i may even do the front bushes 🙂

yes 🙂
3 m6 nuts are as much as you can add in length any more and it hits the end of the cable in the car (on the astra)

I might try this as ive got a spare gear lever to have a go with, ive got a short shift kit on the box at the moment and the throw on the stick is about the same as you have and I want less if I can.
