Mtec kits are not cheep either! luckily a friend gave me my kit! 🙂 right pig to fit on the Vectra with gearbox in the car!

astra van that once had 19" on and had the arches bent right in to suit but over time the paint came off will post some more pics later when the paints on 🙂

Carl are they genuine spats? What's the black paint you have used on the bare metal?

I gave up trying while it was in the car, couldn't get a decent swing on the hammer to drive the pin out.
swapped it when I did the clutch and came out easy! it was a brand new kit still sealed in its packet just to rub it in! :p

yes mate there genuine the black paint is hammerite kurust its white when you put it on then turns black when set and defo kills the rust
heres some of the work it is finished but did not get any pics and had to rush out to fetch a dog we rescued from romania

spats finished up in star silver 3 just need a polish when there dry

and the dog home safe and sound "" delma""

slag lol 🙂 will try and find one unless the certain forum user steps in a buys it before i can same as the last 2 items i've wanted!! lol

think i'm gonna send my box off for a new selector arm and syncro on 1st/2nd or buy the kit and DIY

yes shes just traveled 2000ish miles to get here the other dog we have is morfie and hes a romanian resque to
there killing all the dogs in the streets over there so we had to get delma here to keep morfie company
we also have a labradoodle thats looking for a home in the uk the doodle is getting fostered for a while elsewhere but is here on an overnight stay
heres morfie 🙂 he's been with us over a year now

well it looks like the dogs get on mom took them on a 3 mile walk today 🙂
her passport says 4 years but we dont think she's that old

after speaking with my paint supplier i asked how best to make a matt finish with the star silver to match the new center console
when painting with just the paint it was too soft and damaged easy so i mixed it with lacquer but then it was to shiny he said mix it 2:1 with hardener so i did 🙂

had a day out today at a mates house i was the only one without a turbo 🙂
i did get to borrow a full on wet vac

the recaros got a proper clean 🙂

just waiting for them to dry and put this stuff on

and to go with the gsi bits one of these in a swaps for painting a z20let rocker cover 🙂

the lad who gave me the steering wheel also knocked me up some new copper lines for the rear brake pipes

i have started to re fit the center console and trims will get the inside all cleaned out this next week along with some other work 🙂

Seats look much better has the glitter gone now? Have you tried gliptone for the leather care? Also got a GSi steering wheel o fit did you need any pullers or just undo and pull?

well the glitter looks to have gone but when i took a flash pic there was loads so i went over them again and again and again and theres not so much now
the steering wheel just slides off just lock the wheel in the center with the key out but be sure to hold the wheel when undoing the bolt dont put the strain on the steering lock 🙂 same for tightening

fitted the white led radio controls to the turbo wheel today and had a bit of a play with the bolster on the recaro them sprayed the rear bench's with sealant
put the lens back on the speedo after blowing all the dust of the dials
this car is slowly going back together 🙂

after cleaning (brown cracks in bolster)

dads black shoe polish 🙂

buffed

tripple thick layer of autoglym leather care to try and hold the color in 🙂

would of taken a pic of the leds in the steering wheel but the stereo is not wired up lol

One product I love to use on the leather is gliptone, good old shoe polish to fill the colour 🙂
