Matt No worries mate, I'm just glad I had the option to put Windows 7 back on my Laptop. Hope you manage to sort something out.
MikeS used it last night bit ghey how you can switch from desktop to windows 8 UI took me 5 mins to work out how to shut it down

Matt Cool, I'm still going to stick with Windows 7 for the time being. I did like the new UI when copying to / from a USB drive, how it graphed the transfer rate.

Paul_Wheeler Oh ok, that's not gonna work for me as my laptop was bought with windows 8 already installed. Looks like I'm gonna be spending an addition £50 this weekend just to see if I can get DVD play back! I'm sure it's only Microsoft trying to make more money!

Paul_Wheeler Unfortunately tapatalk isn't allowing me to open the links at the moment but I took my laptop to a friend who is good with computers. He downloaded a software called anydvd & hey presto it works!!!! DVD playback with out having to upgrade to windows 8 pro!! Thanks for having a look for me!
Matt I'm installing it again, but on a desktop I've acquired from work. At least I can learn how to use it, and test all my stuff for if/when I decide to do my laptop.
Paul_Wheeler Now I'm more used to all the shortcut menu's & the Synaptics Gesture for the mouse TouchPad, I quite like the layout of windows 8!
