Nice one, just remember to have the pedals slack to start with and practice on your garden, always remember frist time i tried spds and stopped at some traffic lights :oops: Yes i landed on the floor with the bike ontop of me.

aye went for my first ride yesterday

initial thoughts are ;

is that my bike needs a tune up as the gears are clunking
the white lightening lube did its job during the winter and the chain looks and operates fine
the past 4 moths of gym work has helped however using the bike is a different ball game when it comes to cardio 🙁
been to the gym 3 times this week along with a 500 calorie bike burn so time for a rest cryb..

Nice one Mike. My cycle home burns just over 400 calories, and the cycle to work just under 350. The runs I've been doing in my dinner all burn off over 500. On the long weekend runs, I can burn between 1400 and 1700 calories.

That should justify the Dominos Pizza this evening cheers..

It hurt as soon as I sat on it getting the height sorted out.

I've been able to get myself down to 12st 13lb as of today, down from almost 15 stone (206lb down to 181lb) last summer.

Just weighed myself now, and I'm down to 11st 4lb. Total weight loss is 42lb in 18 months.

Done 18km on the bike today (work and back) and done a 6km run when I got home as the dog hadn't been out for a run since last weekend. Got my long Sunday run tomorrow, so going to tr and get _12km in the new trainers.

Shoes and Pedals have turned up this morning

Going to fit them when I get home and go for a ride around the block and see how many times I fall off!

First cycle to work this morning with the new pedals and shoes, and managed to taken another 3 minutes off my time

Feels so much easier tackling the hills, and being able to cycle the same bits in a higher gear with what feels like the same amount of effort.

Agreed Matt, i live 5 mins from CRC and their service is nothing but brilliant!

Good to see some more cyclists on the car forums, although, you guys mostly appear to not be using the MTB's properly! 😛

I would go out every saturday (although i havent been in the past 3), cover around 10-12 miles and climb around 1400ft and get VERY muddy in the process!

Well the cheapo Halfords special gave up on me this morning, the bearing in the rear hub have collapsed, and it's un-rideable. They have a sale on at the minute, so have ordered a Carrera Subway Hybrid as there was £90 off. Collect it tomorrow.

Should notice quite a difference as well, as the new one weighs just over 12kg, and the old one just over 18kg.

Yes mate, picked it up today. Jem saw me on it round rother valley this evening. Haven't got a picture, will take one tomorrow night.
