i got carrera cracken SE 05 plate as well as my gary fisher

cant really go wrong with carrera as you got a lot of components for cheap price

the sram x5 gear set is pretty good also after a drop down from x9 so if you dont think the gear changes are decisive enough put in an x5 rear derailleur

Yeah, she did look a bit shocked mate.

Rode to work this morning, and felt easier in the same time as normal, so pushing it a bit there could be a sub 20 minute commute.

Good stuff Matt. Our company has recently signed up for the Bike to Work scheme. We choose a bike upto a £1000 and the shop invoices our company, the company loan up the money interest free over an agreed period of time and then they take the repayments back in installments each week/month. I'm tempted to get another bike now.

Yeah, they did that at our work last year, but in the contract you lease the bike from the company for 12 months, and then have to give it them back. They still haven't heard if they do have to actually give it them back, or can keep it for a one off extra payment.

That issue has been raised but our place has agreed an interest free loan until the full amount is paid off. Bloody good I think. I've also just been put on the company private health care scheme too. It covers Christine and the children. Works out at about £18 a month tax. Can't complain at that either!

The scheme that happened at our work meant they got the bike for half RRP, but should have to give it back. It is looking like they will get to keep it though. We've got private healthcare at work as well, mine is a benefit from the employer, and I've added Amy on for £28 an month extra. Have used it recently for physio on my hip from running.
