sdbutler10 wow i like that a lot looks like a very good design expect the TB is on the other side?? im looking forward to polishing that up to a mirror 😃
cavaddict Yeah, if i do make more than one of these, it wont look quite the same as that and the tb could be on either side. Waiting to get the flanges cut at the mo and also ordered the ali pipe to make the inlets up.
rushy What affect do the short runners have? I understand what happens with "fatter" runners over thin but not long over short.
cavaddict To be honest...i haven't got a clue. I'm basically just copying a GM racing design which has been lent to me by Dr Lee. Am probably gonna try a few different things too, but i'm not gonna know exactly what works in practice without a bit of trial and error. The one from the good Doc is a proven design, so this is what i'll be making first.
JohnnyN There must be a good reason why the TB is situated to the NS. A supercharger TB is mounted on the same side too. Would it be purely down to the US specifics or does it matter what side the air flows in from?
cavaddict Think the Doc put it on that side for a reason as he had to shorten the inlet runners anyways. Sure he'll reveal all when he comes on. 😃 Of course i'll be putting the tb on the otherside for mine.

I changed to opposite side to give me more room to mount ITG filter which lives where the battery is with inlet direct feed from grill lots of cool dense air straight into plenum chamber
cavaddict When i've got a working design, then i possibly will. I dont know if the Doc did any extra tweaking to get his to work, so i would recommend having a word with him or indeed seeing if he would fit it for you. Basically i am copying the one he has that was fitted to his engine.
2-20 Thanks We cannot see the runners' side of the plenum. Are there some velocity staks installed ??
exmantaa Looks like a turbo plenum with those short runners... Is that working on an NA?? Somebody should just buy this: http://www.touringcarspares.com/part_li ... =eng#thumb  (Think Alanoo also has some of thas stuff...)
alanoo I didn't want to take that one as it looked way too long to fit in the speedster, took another one with classic round trumpets I should use later this year

mikeymac186 me too 😃 that looks amazing, but how much gain do u actually get from it? who am i kidding, i dont care, i need it, lol
rod1-sri If you did decide to make these and sell them on how much would you want? cheeky i know but i want one 😃 . Would it be ok to use on a standard engine? and can you make one to fit the astra?
