yep thats right, we stupidly thought with a pump you dont need the one way valve. wrong!

ahem! :oops: went to get my one way valve out of the boot and realised the one way valve IS in the system and i havent been foolish (on that part at least!)
but the trigger wire for my relays switches from 12v to earth when the break pedal is pressed! problem solved! :thumbup:

i spoke to tipton garage today and ive been rescheduled.
unfortunately when they want to do it im away on a cad/cam training course for some new software we have so i have an even later booking now.(garunteed tho!)
this does give me plenty of time to save pennys and fuss about a few odds and ends tho so im not at all upset.

been a busy day today, not only do i have sun burn i also have a fully and correctly operating car! :thumbup:

i know it will be expensive but ill probably go for a two stage tune go for around 200bhp first then go big once im happy with it sometime later. 😃

this weekend i shall be mostly fitting engine temp gauge and turbo boost gauge,

went out last nite and got tremendously pissed and feel a little green :sick: so i may not get much done today!

i also think im going to salvage the fan from my air con condensor and mount it onto the radiator for a bit of extra cooling as my thermostat should be able to control it.

and were also thinking fcuk it lets just see what we get from the rolling road as were thinking 200bhp will probably be holding the engine back as it is now.
220bhp would be very nice! 2 weeks 4 days and counting till the rolling road! :thumbup:

today i have installed both my engine temp gauge and turbo boost gauge,
i spent yesterday making the mount as i could only get a single cup holder i set to a spot of bench work chopped up a bit of ali and fixed to the cup, dismantled the turbo boost gauge and screwed it directly to the bottom of the cup using the ali for a spacer then sprayed matt black, hey presto, job done :thumbup:
i decided not to use daz's idea as although it would have been easier to wire and get a vacuum hose to, with this weather its reminded me i really cant sacrifice both my centre vents with no air con and a turbo an inch or so from the bulkhead.
also i have started to remove any padding from the imediate area surrounding the turbo as it just concerns me!
im also going to have to find a way of tarting my loom up a little better :think:

the one thing got on my tits a bit is you need to run wires fricking everywhere for these gauges and because of the illumination on em'
i had to run 7 wires to the engine temp gauge (4 for illumination) then just those 4 for the boost gauge, turned out that in the wirnig diagram 2 of the wires needed power from the same source so i had to solder them together any way.
as a result im going to have to find some posh conduit from somewhere as it is quite ugly! :crazy:

I'd like a pillar pod for the VXR, but they don't make them because of the airbags in the A-Pillar.

i definately preferr the first one! if you zoom in to the e'bay photo you can see external fixing points!

Nice work :thumbup: Pillar pod would be the best solution, If they stick out too far you have to keep looking round them at junctions :roll:

Cables ar a PITA to hide. What about a polished cover to go over the loom by the injectors.

Or would a astra z22se engine cover go over it?

i dont have the bonnet clearance for the one that goes over the tb.
