Hope it's just a small leak from the cooler, bypass it and see how it goes. Glad she is running though, who is doing the mapping for you?

Alanoo, do you know at what pressure/rpm should the regulator start moving? and what should peak pressure be. Is there any ajustment on it that could be wrong or does it just do what it does

No adjustment, peak pressure is ₈.5 bar, normally achieved somewhere after 4500 rpm at WOT but as this is load dependant (meaning "bearings" load + play) could be a few rpm before/after

Just, if you're seing more than 8.5 bar, stop immediately as it will kill the oil cooler.

If you already have a weak cooler with a leak, the next cold start will most likely kill it and finish splashing the oil everywhere too

For info my idle is about 68psi (87C) It goes a lot hgher at high revs must look tomorrow but I tend to be looking at the road at 6800rpm in any gear :lol:
8.5 bar is 123 PSI wow I noticed mine goes well above 100psi

Had a look on the run to work and it showed @128 psi at about 6700rpm

well I pressure tested the oil cooler with a hose on the water side and blocked the other end. It seems 100% intact, no water coming through to the oil side at all
so I must be looking at HGF I think

didnt.. it runs a high idle so it's high enough at cold but a bit too high when warm 🙁
i'm going to look into using an idle valve in the future

were gonna try a nissan one on one of the takeoffs from the manifold. ill let ya know how it goes. :thumbup:

IIRC the first ford CVH injection engines had external Idle control valves???

I popped into my local motor factors this morning to buy a couple of exhaust gaskets, whilst waiting for them to find some I noticed a box of electrical connectors, I found one for my oil sump level switch - result 😃

The company is called DURITE by Gordon Equipments Ltd, they sell various plugs / connectors etc :thumbup:

Hope I don't have idle issues with my 80mm Tb, should arrive today along with the PLX wideband, also got the elise base plate (under £10.00) for the manual throttle, should be fun to fit!! injectors are next looks like I might get them from the States as they are expensive over here :thumbdown:

hi everyone ,

i have an opel speedster 2.2 and im starting a project im fitting a dta s60 ecu and i want some ideas about the wiring loom pls, i fitted a set of z20let injectors and im doind an intake plenum ,but for now my engine internals are stock then in future i will convert it to turbo and change pistons and rods

any idear about the wiring pls ?

There's some info in this thread or, try a PM to Rick1083 (chap that started this thread) - he's made a "plug and play" loom and perhaps would be willing to make another for the right price?

I'm seriously considering fitting a S60 with a cam sensor as I'm a 'tad' eff'd off with the starting issues caused by not having a cam sensor :thumbdown:

cheaper and we dont have a cam sensor and looks like a lot of effort to fit one 🙁
nick if you don't want it thats ok i'll use it on mine since it's a lot nicer than the first one i made.
Although it's definately long enough to reach to fit anywhere behind the drivers seat since thats where I planned it to go
