also a bit of a PITA to get to that alternator.. are there any other points available for high current or am I best off running it from the battery itself?

Nick, do you know how your additional fuel pump is wired in? Also which wideband sensor are you getting?

I have Emailed Jon to find out, the position of my second fuel pump relay seems to be above the nearside wheel arch. Let me know what connectors are required and I will try to find them.

Like Vocky said, get the +12V power supply directly from the big red cable on the startermotor. That M8 bolt connection is easy to reach from underneath...

btw, this is how you check timing with our crappy coil pack..
(turn it into a normal coil pack 😛)

fyi, webcon trigger wheel sensor mounted 80 degrees btdc (from first falling edge after missing tooth, which is the value DTA wants)

wasted a lot of time running on 2 cylinders until I figured out the second injector channel was configured to control idle valve not injectors 🙁

I've been looking everywhere for a UK company selling PLX stuff with a bit of a discount.

Quite like the idea of the multi function OLED display to avoid too many gauges cluttering up the dash - for that "glass cockpit" look, eh nick 8)

was on the dyno today, all going good, got up to 222bhp and was still increasing, and no sign of the misfire probs, but we noticed oil in the water!

noth. noth. noth.

pressure tested cylinders all ok
where could it be coming from? note oil in water, NOT water in the oil dunno..

oil will always go in the water and not the contrary due to the oil circuit pressure being much much higher than the water circuit one

replace with air to oil cooler?

I've just been having a look and there really isn't that much oil in there, it just looks like a lot because it all settles on top

Yep that's quite strange if you don't have a lot of it

have you got an oil pressure gauge ?

no but I think I will be fitting one

No, still running the same as OE one
Just have to be very careful and check the oil pressure and the regulation valve is easily stuck and that kills the cooler quickly

can I temporarily bypass the oil cooler by connecting the oil pipes in a loop? are the threaded unions the same thread size each side? that would make it easier

yes for the reg valve
and yes for the bypass

don't remember if the OE threads are the same (moved to JIC fittings) but I think they are
