Liners aren't that difficult to fit in LS1's. I cant see the L61 being much different. Speak to mike at boost performance. he's done quite a few LS1's now so has the right people at the right price!

considering using saab crank, rods and pistons
If I fitted all these, would my car then be a 2.0?
easier to fit full saab engine?
what power can the standard saab engines take?

Yep will be 2.0 with crank + rods and pistons

pistons are good for a bit more than 300 bhp.
Rods and crank for power levels you won't reach (if you upgrade the rod bolts to ARP ones, they'll be good for 400hp without issue).

Requires a different flywheel too

hmm and what about just upgrading to the allecotec 2.2 pistons and rods.. what would be the limiting bhp there?

around 400hp, then the liners should be upgraded

Note too than when you make a 350hp Harrop engine, the engine is in fact a 400+ one where the lost hp are in the power needed to rev the SC... so the stress on the internals are indeed 400+

no dyno only calculates the frctional losses on the rundown not the power required by the supercharger to compress the air.

If you know the boost and the pulley ratio you can work out the parasitic loss of the supercharger from the map

ah yes that makes sense since the bypass valve will be open on rundown, makeing the sc a lot easier to turn

I don't know why that picture went away, all the others were working after I fixed the access rights on them.
