Firstly a quick thank you to Scott (SDBUTLER10) for inviting me to look at making a good quality tubular manifold for all your Z22SE engines. Also a quick thanks to Matt for allowing me to speak directly to you all regarding this product development.
Some of you may not be too familier with Piper RS LTD so for those that do not know what we do here is a brief run down. We design and manufacture valve train components (Cams, Pulleys, Springs etc...) and exhaust components (Manifolds, Sports Cats, De Cats, Downpipes, Systems etc...) for Race, Track and Road cars. Most of our business is based around product development, design and consultancy to race teams and manufacturers. We put all of our knowledge from our work in F1, Touring Car, WRC, NASCAR, Indy Car etc and put it into the products we make for the road. We have always made parts for road cars but its only in the past 5 years we have really started more serious product development for the road. As this group buy is regarding exhausts, please see below for examples of some of our work.

I hope this is all okay and meets your approval. Now as we do not already make a manifold for the Z22SE engine this is not going to be a standard group buy as we are going to be developing this part along with you members.
As already mentioned in order for us to look into developing this part for you i would need an initial order of 10 to show comitment that this is a product that the market does in fact need. Now it looks like you have already got more than that having shown interest in this development so my finance dept have given me to green light on this development.
The next step in moving this forward is to book a car into the workshop for the development. I have been given the week from 05/01/09 - 09/01/09 to get this development done so what i need to do now is to complile a list of everyone who is interested and mark down who has called me to confirm their order and paid the deposit (50%). As already mentioned we expect this part to cost around £299.99 for the first batch of 10+.

All you need to do to confirm your order in this group buy is to call me on 01303 245300 where i can take your order an change your Status to confirmed. If i have not received 10 confirmations then i am afriad that we shall need to set another date for the development to happen once i have received enough confirmations.
We have already sourced a Astra SRi 2.2 Locally to use for the development but as mentioned already we would like to have a VX220 in the workshop at the same time. This way we can confirm 100% that our product will infact fit all the models. Better to be safe than sorry. So if anyone has a VX220 and does not mind becoming a very important part of this development and can lend us their car for that week then please give me a call. As a thank you for lending us your car we shall of course be fitting the part to their car for free.
As part of this development we shall rolling road test the car with the standard manifold and then rolling road test it after the new manifold fitted to ensure that our product does in fact work as we all expect it too.
To answer a couple of peoples questions:
- Yes we can ship outside of the UK. Please call for a quote.
- This will be designed to be a direct replacment for the standard item so will be useable with any downpipes you may already be using.
