if it doesnt fit in the vx (sure it would tho) im sure lots of 2.2 astra/vectra members wouldnt mind buying it off you.

its a risk im willing to take tho. (ill make it fit lol)

Hi from what i have spoken to piper about the unit its going to be a direct fit unit there is hardley any room in out engine bay on the astra the one that thorney sells fits the vx but does not fit the astra so we have a very tight gap as we have air cons pipes right there.

rite just spoken garry at piper we should have a go ahead on this.
what they would like is 1 astra/vectra and 1 vx220 for about 1 week so they can deff say this will fit both vehicles.
we have a space for the 1st week in january so 5th onwards.
they will require a depost for this at £150 soon. so if you have your name on the list please commit to it or this will never happen.
if anway can lend a car for the week please let me know.
i know garry from piper has just signed up on here and will be posting in this section soon about this all so ask him as well.

just been reading up on here and it look like they are actually the exact same part, and ive had a look on my cd and the part number for the 2.2 manifold on the vx is '24438033' can anyone confirm the astra one is the same? just wanna make sure 100%, if this is the case im sure that some people on .org would be interested.

good news vx220 owners just spoke to my local vauxhall dealer and they gave me the part number for the astra manifold and it is
24438033
if ur unsure gives your local dealer a call and they will tell u what i have just been told.

hi mate if the system meats your standard manifold already then this one will as its a direct replacement.
also you say you have a 3" down pipe you running a supercharger or something?

No blower yet. 3" all the way which includes a 200 cel cat and a de-cat pipe (so I have a choice)! Jim at tubular was supposed to be making me a 4-1 but it turned into a tooth pulling exercise :crazy:

I'll try and post some pics if you're interested and I can work out how to do it.
