I'm doing my cam chains tonight :?

I don't really think they need doing I'v never heard a noise but i'm getting paranoid now so it will be worth the peace of mind.

I was going to do it tonight the van has just turned up with the parts some of them!!!!!!
Balancer shaft kit and gaskets but no CAM CHAIN KIT!!!!!!

Dont forget u need a new crank bolt too..

I'v started the chains anyway there all off now and i'v just removed the oil nozzle and mine has NOT been replace, and as goatboy says we both had cut outs on the bolt on the side if the head!!! So be carefull this may not be a surefire way of determining if the nozzle has been changed.

The chain is well oiled but i'm so glad I'v done it now!!!!
Hopefully i'll be able to put it back together tomorro if the bit turn up!!!.

Cost me just under £200 for the parts but i get them trade price!. And fitting it is easy (but i am a mechanic) but i think you will be fine if you take your time.

i've been to vx today and got everything except the balace shaft chain and that cost me £117.

have been back to order the balance shaft chain, will have it in a few days.

the only time they break is when the cam chain snaps and breaks it
