Wheel info needed

Why are these wheels different size notsure.gif . I like these wheels but don't know why they are different, would they still fit an Astra? They are VX220 alloys

17 / 175 FRONT RIMS

17 /225 BACK RIMS

The vx220 has wider wheels at the back that is the only diffrence i think.

So will normal tyres fit all round or would the rear ones have to be wider notsure.gif . Cheers

the 17/175 seems quite narrow, considering the standard SXI/SRI alloys on the astra are 16/225, and the back ones 17/225 seems normal. You'd need to get the different tyres fitted, as that seems like quite a big difference with width.

the vx220 is a mid engined sports car so needs more grip on the rear wheels,also vaux used smaller wheels at the front so the front never had more grip than the rear so making the car safer(if the fronts were biger the car may spin rather than slide)
