Timing chain

Could anyone please tell me how I can check my chassis number to see if it my timing chain nozzle needs to be changed or if it has already been done??

Hi there i to was worried like you so just gave vauxhall recall centre on the following number 0118 945 8502.I just gave them my registration number.

My one was ok but interestingly there was 3 other outstanding recalls standing on it not that vauxhall were going to do the recalls for free but atleast i know about them now so well worth phoning.

Cheers mate lets hope ive got nothing wrong with minem mine is a Y plate sri150 2.2
By the looks of it all the newer models have cam probs

mine was not ment to be on the list but my chain snapped as long as you get regular oil and filter changes and an engine flush should be ok

yeah as baz said as long as you do regular oil changes you should be ok.

i change my oil every 5000 miles.

Thats a usefull number baz/chris, I just rang it and they said that my car was not under the recall for the timing chain (yet it snapped anyway) but is under recall for the airconditioning low pressure ???? ref number UK01R21 can anybody shed any light on UK01R21, I am going to the dealer this morning for them to listen to the engine see if it sounds OK with regards to the cam chain as I don't bloody trust it as far as I can throw it :evil:

if it out of warranty u have to pay for the recalls,think the air con recall was the extra bracket that reqired fitting to stop the pipe snapping off..

Same thing, gave them a ring and my 2001 x reg was not under the recall for the timing chain but was for the aircon and never taken.

Noticed water leaking from under the car after air-con has been on for a while, but the air-con works fine at the moment ?

thats just the condsation falling off the aircon pipes m8,,nowt to worry bout..it runs down a drain tube..
