Have you considered raising the compression ratio?
Especially with differant cams fitted, won't they alter the dynamic compression ratio (compared to static) because of the valves being open for longer?

I always consider 'cost vrs power' gains and compression ratios are expensive considering the minor gains

I would not consider a thicker gasket as that changes the timing slightly

I was quoted £25 per valve for a machine shop to fit the valves :eek:

that's £400+vat :eek:

so I found my old set of valve seat cutters and spent hours cutting the valve seats bigger, the kit was for leaded valve seats (which are softer) so by the time I was finished it was terminal :LOL:

my advice is get the standard size head, but Swirled/Waisted stem, the power difference betwen +1 and standard won't be much notsure.gif

the difference between a standard valve and the S/W valve is HUGE :D
