Monitor Speakers

Bought some new monitor speakers from BPM Show yesterday, as I've been using my crappy Logic speakers which I got with my first laptop almost 10 years ago!

I wanted some KRK rokit-5 or similar, but at over £100 per speaker, slightly out of my budget.

A stall there had a pair of M-Audio AV40 with a few ££ off, so grabbed a bargain on these, for £90 for the pair.

I need to sort my desk area out now, as I'm short on space. I want to buy a stand for my laptop to raise it while I'm mixing, and have the controller on the desk, as it's too low at the minute.

Those look good Matt. I am just using my HI-FI speakers with my setup. I would like some better ones a bit later on. What do they sound like? I have not had much time to play on my decks. I still need to sort my setup out also, as I need to see when my tracks break down. So it looks like I will have to hook my pc up to Rekordbox to view the wave file of each track.

From the 10 minutes I had them on Saturday evening, they sound really good. I've been really busy at work (back on 12 hour shifts and doing loads of OT), so I've not had them on since. I should hopefully get to use them a bit on Friday / Saturday as I'm on nights so can use them during the day.
