mayo in tank

had my head gasket done at the start of the year, now i see some mayo in the header tank plus a smell of petrol comeing from it, could it be gone again or would anything else cause this.

could be some old gunk left in dunno..

what the colant like?

is there mayo anywhere else?

i replaced the old tank with a different one and put new coolant in, the mayo just seems to be around the sides, but i have a smell of petrol as well in the coolant tank.

does the 2.2 have a oil cooler.

not that i am aware of vovky is the local nut to ask cheers..

no they dont, perhaps your seals have gone, mayo is caused bt water getting in, so check all the gaskets, seals, pipes.

I believe the Vx220 have oil coolers but astra's and vectra's no.

Should do basicly its a liquid that changes colour when it detects exhaust gases in the cooling system

i got one
not used it for a while blue liquid turns yellow i think if exhaust gases present
