Lost Power Steering

Vauxhall have just said my power steering pump is broke / leaking. Cost will be £650 for a new one fitted. They said it's only being held on by the brake pipes

get them to put it in writing that the problem is not recent

ask seller to contribute

otherwise under consumer protection you will sue the seller for not accurately describing the car when selling it to you

do you think the problem has only just appeared after you bought the car ?

Not sure how long it's been gone. They may have topped up the fluid levels before I came to pick it up

you are protected under trade descriptions act m8 if you are certain the fault was existing when you purchased the car
