Is there any way of stopping this noise?

not sure the el panel in the dial face is run from a 100v ac inverter thats what makes the noise

It wouldn't bother me so much as I usually listen to music or the radio at a high volume, but you can't really do this at night unless you want everyone to hate you! I don't really do much late night driving anyway.
Oh well I guess they still look better than the standard dials even when they're not lit up!

Unfortunately you get 'inverter whine'. I've wrapped mine in some bubble wrap and tucked it away. I can still hear it but not over the sound system. Obviously you need to consider cooling (or the lack of cooling) for the inverter but I followed advice from the innoparts team and its been ok for a year plus....

IIRC it's a 12v dc to 100v 400Hz inverter. Maybe there's better ones available on the market? I wonder what the current draw is likely to be at max? I may ask a friend about making one .

If you reduce the intensity it lessens the whine....

I've noticed when you switch the dials to G theres no noise, only when switched to B do you get the noise, why is this?

Probs because the inverter is working harder to produce the B setting light.
