HELPPPPP

Hi All got myself a problem I cant figure out, first off I bought a vectra 2.0 turbo a couple of weeks ago and on the way home 170 miles covered coasting to a set of lights it cut out on me no warning at all I started the car again but it would only start with little accelerator on and when running was missing a beat every 2-3 seconds so i shut it off and got it towed home, put computer on it and only fault code was 2nd O2 sensor heating element not working, I stripped the engine cover and time chain cover to find a reasonably slack chain so I thought maybe jumped a tooth I couldn't check this as the timing Chain kit that was fitted needed special timing tool that I couldn't trace anywere so I just used my kit off my astra z22se same amount of links in the chain same rails and same cogs apart from z22se ones lock into the cams anyway timed it up rebuilt it back up but now it smokes alot my first thought was if it jumped a tooth maybe it dumped a load of crap into the exhaust an it will burn off but that's not the case it is still missing a beat every 5-6 seconds but does run and sound ok cylinder 1 and 4 are 175psi and 2 and 3 are 180psi so that ruled out my next thought of maybe the piston kissed a valve now I'm at a loss everything is pointing towards a goosed turbo but the 170 miles it was actually driving were 100% smoke free not even a lil bit on start up so now I'm stuck so any help with this would be greatly appriciate
Cheers in advance craig

Oh it's a 04 vectra 2.0 turbo with 94k on but reconed turbo at 83k

That's what I thought when I compression tested it so unless the turbo gave up the ghost in the 10 days it was sitting I must have done something wrong

Arnt the cam sprockets different on a z20net?

Maybe the timing out slightly? On the cams

cos the sprockets dont have a key way to lock them into position

but im no pro so dont take my word for it.

yes the timing of the 2.2 is completely different to the 2.0t
the cam blocks are a nightmare there £160 a set and there's 3 different types for the same engine from different years
