But getting compression when the oil acts as a seal round the piston. If valves were gone there would never be compression.

Yessss you beauty!!! Thanks for the help again guys. The day of oil in the cylinder n a day of wd40 in the cylinder has unstuck the ring n is firing all good once again :)

I read a little bit on Google after Carlos n flatbeat mentioned it. There isn't a lot to read but I've read people successfully doing it. Now I'm one of them so happy days n I feel so lucky right now lol

Glad you got it fixed. It may only be for a while thou......if rings were stuck it may have scored the bore and done a little piston damage which may get worse over time. I bought a Y reg silver zaffy 2.2 from cambridge way and when i stripped it down i found 1 piston with a little bit missing and the bore was damaged slightly.

Keep an eye on it and hopefully you caught it in time
