Hi guys going to replace the 4 valves.Got a question for use the torque settings for the head i got 30nm and then 70 degress then 70 degress again anyone got what the 70 degress would be in nm not to good at angels lol.And dont no if this is even right.

you cannot guess the 70 degree bit.

you need to turn the bolts exactly 70 degrees (or whatever degree) or they will snap :eek:

Cheers guys went onto the link you gave me and bought one the torque wrench i have here hasn't got the angle with it so this will be very handy.

Our motto in work when tightening head bolts....Do um up til they snap and back half a turn....lol.....

valves

Hi guys started stripping the head at work today as work was quiet update picture found 2 bent valves and a snapped hydraulic pot the things under the rollers pics of valves attached going to start putting head back together tommorow as head gasket kit arrived today.

Hi Vocky one of them has a chip out of the bottom but struggling to get it out the other one is fine should the guide come out easy enough or any ideas for getting it out mate

the valve guides are pressed in and out.

take the head to an engine shop and get it replaced, if you don't you will regret it for a long time :(

Hi guys quick update got the head back this morning with 2 new valve guides in it so put the head back together with all new valve stem seals and a couple of new valves also took a little bit of time to re-seat them but done now,here is a couple of pics for you. :D
