Cd70 aux / MP3 option

evening gents.
Just wondering if anyone can shed some light on this...
I got colour cd70 satnav on my Vec xp estate... In the little cubby hole under the stereo there is what seems to be an aux plug.. ( seems standard no an aftermarket add on)
Now I've had a play about with the system although when you go through the various function I can't find an aux option .. Although you can see a faint MP3 symble, but it's not highlighted.
So I gather it either need an updated disc... Car is a 57 plate or dose it need tec2!?? Thanks in advance Rob

You can buy a firmware disc from Vauxhall for about a fiver I'm told. I wonder if someone has added the aux cable to the CD70 and not activated via Tech 2/ OpCom. I'm sure I read on an Ebay post about the cable that it has to be activated. When you go in the menu for the radio/cd etc. does it show aux under sound?
