alarm, can any1 help

the last two days my alarm keeps going off, not the sirren but thor horn repeatatly.. think my neighbours are getting a bitt p**sed of at the mo so was wondering if any1 new how to turn it off, or any suggestions, thanks

you dont have to arm the alarm just press the button once apart from that i cant hep sorry notsure.gif

You need to get it Tech2 i'm afraid, as it will diagnose what the problem is.

The power sounders are known to be a common fault, they are located inside the n/s wing behind the plastic wheel arch. Take about 20 mins to replace. :)

was about 40 the part, 44 to look at 40 to do the job, plus vat,
my mate is a vauxhall mechanis and specialist in his garage on the z22se, but he is in america for 3 weeks! great :cry:

IIRC The powersounder isn't faulty itself it is the internal battery that goes flat, on another forum there is a "how to" to replace the battery.

The batteries can be replaced but often enough its easier to replace the power sounder which can be obtained from the dealers. If you want to go the route of replacing the batteries then these cant be bought from the dealer. The type of battery is NC-M120 3.6v which you`d need 2 of for around £12.
