the sun was out today so decided to try my new autoglym super resin polish

Never used wax on my cars, what 1 do you use? I might try it

Looks cracking, as above a coat of wax then seal would top it off.

I am no expert but rule of thumb for me

Glaze
Wax
Seal

:)

Most time consuming part is the polish stage though.

tbh mate i have never detailed myself I have a guy local to me who does it for me
but looking at some of the stunning results on here yours well and truly included i think i would like to get into it

i always understood the word detail to just mean clean the car :)

looks good mate i know how much of a pain black is to keep clean

Just orderd some Autoglym HD wax so hopefully the sun ois still out when it arrives

True Mike but where i live its usualy 2 days and it looks s**t again or covered in s**t

a day or so later and it has a layer of dust on it

Its black cars in general that are hard to keep clean, my mrs has a saphire corsa and its like yours covered in dust the next day. My last car was the same.

I am seriously thinking about a full paint job. Cant decide on white or arden blue though

Never seen a white gsi so i think it would stand out and white shows off the black trim details
