Before I go shelling out a boatload of cash on new cat and lambdas etc , could a lambda sensor cause such high co? mine is reading slightly too low , is that a tell tale sign of it being knackered? Wouldn't I get a code error for that though?

Thanks for that. How much do you think a garage would charge to bleed the brakes and clutch and replace with new brake fluid? My brakes have loads of pad left but arent particularly great come to think of it. Matt

Don't think it's ever been done. Could that lower the bite point if the fluid was crap? Would it entail bleeding the whole lot out through each caliper nipple?

So basically the clutch is on its way out. :(

Hi, My 2002 Vectra B 2.2 16v has a high clutch bite point. It isn't slipping but seems close to the top. It has 78k miles and all old MOT's to back up mileage. Is it likely the clutch is near to the end with such low mileage? The clutch is hydraulic on this isn't it? Matt

Yeah , the fuses all looked fine when i checked them. Had the glove box out, the side pod out to check the ribbon cable coming from the interior light, tested for earth, everything fine. Thought, ill just check the fuses again, all looked fine , put the probes on and the 30amp was knackered...

I've found the problem. I'm embarrassed to say it was a 30 amp fuse lol
