Mine is also ready, but I have been waiting for the ECU for almost 8 weeks now!! Don`t know why, but Jon promised me they should fix it this week.. So I keep my fingers crossed 🙂
What kind of MAP sensor did you get, is it a TMap sensor or did you keep the temp sensor by the air filter?? I have ordered injectors and map sensor from Courtenay aswell...

I don't think its a tmap sensor.. it just has 3 pins like our original one. Temperature reading on my obd reader still comes from the original temp sensor. I was wondering this too, as the cobalt guys seem to talk a lot about IAT2 readings, and I don't think we're able to see what it is on ours since the temp sensor is just IAT rather than IAT2. I'm not sure if the software uses the value from IAT1 for anything, maybe it just uses the MAP value.

On the LSJ (= Cobalt), the IAT2 is the temp in the inlet manifold. So the important one after the blower and chargercooler.
LSJ IAT1 reading is intake air temperature before the blower.

yeah.. I don't think we get a IAT2.. just the manifold pressure

What ? do you mean the remapped ECU has no way to know the real intake temperature ?

So nothing prevents knock by reducing the ignition advance apart from the unreliable piezo sensor ?

Veeeeeeeeeery dangerous and absolutely not optimal for performance

no, depends and too much factors
Pressure, rpm, IAT1 and.... the info it has not, the laminova cores coolant temp

I suggest you make 100% sure that you original IAT has not to move after the cores, otherwise you may VERY easily kill the engine by knock as soon as it will heat up a bit

Jon at courtenays says there's no way to see it. The map sensor we put in instead of the LSJ tmap is just a normal 3-wire map.
I'm getting a RR power run done tomorrow and going to courtenays on the 17th.
I hope this icy weather clears up soon!

Here's the graphs I got yesterday at Car Planet Racing in Warrington, it's a dyno dynamics road.
Jon says it's running rich (especially at over 6250), and they'll be able to sort it out when I go to theirs in 2 weeks. Also I think me having a standard back box doesn't help, and having the standard cat section (but with a magnaflow welded in) might not be too good.. the standard pipes are only 2" I think? Are the milltek 2.5?

I don't like the idea of not monitoring the inlet air temp... :eh: Very important on FI engines!
And I don't see why they don't do this if they can properly program the ECU.
In the GM 2,2 (=L61) SC conversion kit, the original IAT sensor connection in the inlet is also rewired to a new TMAF sensor in the manifold. (see: http://paceperformance.com/paceperforma ... manual.pdf somewhere at the last pages)

Do you happen to know the type & nr. MAP sensor used by courtenay?

not off the top of my head but I can check. SC pulley is the standard lsj one, but moved out by 1-1.5mm so the belt can sit on the inner ribs

Oh, and I assume you already got rid of your pre-cat?
A proper exhaust will really help in the top end and I should do that before a RR remap.
