Don't forget to go for a dual pass mod on the manifold. it will keep it cooler.

yeah, that's the one "non standard" thing im gonna do (at least for now 😛), im just aiming for the standard courtenay stage 2 for now....
crate engine depot say they are "reviewing our international shipping policy" so they won't sell me one, they say to check back in a month.

someone who just did a 2.2 sc conversion.. quite a few useful pics. He mentions a mounting bracket for the sc manifold (I guess it takes some of the weight away from the port area to support it better).. I don't have this bit... i guess courtenay buy this bit along with the manifold and sc?

The inlet is quite heavy so I think its smart to get one of those, I got one with my supercharger, try worldpartsexpress.com Im sure they can get you one.
If you have the 120A alternator you would also need a new alternator, mine was modded too fit with the 2.4 inlet but it was still to big 🙁

i think with the alternator.. whatever relocation that courtenay do to do with the belt setup must move it substancially out of the way for that not to be a problem since jon didn't mention it at all when i spoke to him

Yeah maybe Jon has got an solution to it, I ordered a LSJ alternator with the 6 rib. pulley..
I were in contact with Jon regarding remap and injectors earlier this year and he said he could arange that for me, but now I have waited 3weeks for him to respond to my E-mail`s, hoping to get it sorted out soon, the rest of the job is almost done

also ordered a bunch of stuff from zzperformance.com, dual pass end plate, new valve actuator, some sc oil, modular pulley with 3.1 pulley (sorry.. couldn't help myself :crazy: ), and a "pulley puller"

also ordered a wideband lambda - the "Techedge 2J1 budget wideband system"

Regarding the moving of the altenator..........I'm sure that Courtenay grind away a lump of matl. on the side of the head where the belt passes by. That's what has been done on mine.

I've commissioned the garage extension onto my house.. hopefully completed in 1-1.5 months, then I can get going on this 😃

my sutff from zzperformance has cleared customs in liverpool.. only a £40 charge.. think I got lucky 😃

& just got off the phone with Jon from courtenay, and I'm gonna go with the redesigned courtenay belt setup (similar to the atom one). He's gonna get the price to me next week. He doesn't think I'll be able to run the smaller pulley due to the compression ratio... and I'm gonna need a 100A alternator instead of my 120A... so if anyone knows one for sale or wants to swap, please let me know 😃
