Engine mount arrived today. Not quite as the one iin the above pics but this is the correct part for the 2.2
As it stands its going to be tight but I will do it. Drilling the upper mount hole is going to be a pain as its very tight for space. I can't get my right angled drill in for that one so I may have to use a die-grinder with a modified drill, 8,5mm dia drill cut down with a back end spun down to 6mm to fit in the die-grinder collet. this is my only option at the moment unless I can get one of our right angled air pistols in. Basically, the sub frame on the Vectra appears to have 2 tie bars at diagonals for strength. These are in the way for trying to drill out the hole. The lower hole is no problem.
Secondly, I've offered up the mount and it will go on but I think I will definately have to go with the welding optoin for attaching the backets to the subframe. There is no room at all for a clamping bracket.
So the score is 1- Nil to the car this evening!!
