I have to top up my oil up once every couple of months with about a Litre i do around 400miles aweek.
Is this normal?
There is no leaks on the drive, but the worring thing was a friend followed me the other day, i had to get round a car and booted to nearly 6K he said he could see a fair amount of dark smoke blow from my car
I then started my car this morn after standing for three days and i saw signs of blue-ish smoke coming from the zorst. This did clear after idle came down to 1k.
There is no milky susbtance in the oil cap, so i got my GF to follow me today and after the engine was warm i booted she said she couldnt see any sign of smoke at all.
Does this sound normal, the car runs fine and pulls well.
I have posted on AS and a lot of users there seem to have this issue with 2.2 burning oil.
but
They rekon the blue smoke may be due to the fact that my valve stem oil seals may be on the way out.
Has anyone else got this problem?
