Matt Guys. just been to my local drive thru car wash - you know the one which pulls your car thru. well anyway i was half way thru and then BANG !! it ripped of my evo spoiler.. anyway they seemed ok about and i filled in a incident form to carwash who own it but as soon as i got back i rang my insurance to update them.. as this happened to anyone else and what happens now ??
ski Drive in car wash's are always bad news for scratching/damaging cars, most of them have a disclaimer saying you use it at your own risk. Personally i always wash mine at home using the 2 bucket method, helps keep the paintwork in good condition i dont trust machines, or other people not to scratch or damage it!
Matt Bollox mate, a bit late now, but you should never use those swirl-o-matic machines. In the 7 years I've been driving, I've never been through one. What did your insurance have to say about it?
Daz they got a discalimer at our local car wash....no cars with spoilers allowed........in the 20 yrs ive been driving ive never and will never put a car thru a car wash...
Matt recieved a letter in the post sayin sory from the carwash place and to take it to this named garage for an estimate. does this mean they are gonna sort it ?
JohnnyN Looks like it. Make sure that garage is a reputable one and not just one of their dodgy mates in the trade. Would seek advice from the insurance company though personally?
Matt yep, gonna ring them monday morning but ive got advice that the garage they have mentioned is a top body specialist and do all the top end cars..very reputable.
Matt Well Guys.. Result. cheaque came thru. all i got to do is take my car to this bodyshop on tues. all paid for and i get a curt car too...
Matt Just been and picked the car up. all refitted and resprayed. done a better job than it was...GREAT !!!!!
