NEW DVD HEAD UNIT

Guys.... just bought myself a Pioneer Headunit P5700. what adapter do i need to display and steering wheel control - connect to my vectra. i have a sony and a autoleads adapter at the mo.

auto leads dont work on pioneer, i bought a steering wheel control adaptor for my pioneer that matt recommended and it didnt work.... but i gave it to a guy to check out and he came back and said it looks like an autoleads one.....

it depends m8 , i bought a new head unit a few mnths ago from halfords and went back the day l8r for the adaptor but they didnt even stock it for the steering wheels controls gutted 🙁 nvm .. why dont ya just look and the halfords website for it m8.

halfords are nobs, i went into halfords and asked nicely for the adaptors and i didnt have time to find them as i was going to work so i walked up to the audio guy and told him what i needed he said or sorry not in stock.... i went 2 hrs later and found the part on the shelf

What was the issue with the leads mate, did they give you the wrong one, or did what I recommend not work?

YEAH M8, i bet if i went back and asked for the the adaptor for my stero to link to the steering wheel controls ill find it...

the stero adaptor you recommeneded me didnt work the stearo works fine but cannot get the steering wheel controls to work.... i got a guy to have a look at it and he tried diffrent pins the instructions said... still couldnt get it to work.... i contacted audio direct... and they said if i send it back saying it doesnt work then... all they will do is send it away for testing and if it comes back that nothing is wrong with it i will get billed...... when this guy looked at it he said the wiring just looks like an autoleads adaptop with a diffrent badge on it.... and ive read on AOC that the autoleads dont work with the pioneer.... so i think if i send it back there will be nowt wrong with it and they will just bill me for the postage and hassle....

can bus are ment to be pritty good if you pop over to AOC they have a list of compatable stuff but i must say pioneer is bad for compatability

Well guys... some of you said it carn't be done. halfords said if carnt be done. caraudio said no and so did connect 2....well after speakin to my contact and 60.00 includin delivery i have bought a genuine pioneer aftermarket cable that does.....wait for it.....steering AND display...will fit end of week and let you guys know.... p.s down with you none belivers.....

well guys the cable arrived today and the instuctions are spot on....by all account points to steering and display for pioneer to vauxhall. yay .... gonna install tomoz and let you guys know.... im still thinkin about passin on my contact info...he he i have his business card now....any offers he he.

Also my Pioneer CD Changer turned up lads..... busy tomoz.....

Well guys... sorry about the delay but been ill and busy so here goes....

ive got 2 pioneers headunits... first one is a deh series and the adaptor works perfect.. gotta say i noticed the difference between the Pioneer headunits and the sonys... anyway... my pioneer P5700 dvd didnt have the remote plug on the back so the steerin controls didnt work altho the display worked... anyway guys not to be defeated ive stumbled across this little doozy...
