Harrop of Austrailia (with help from Eaton) have developed a bigger supercharger as a direct replacement for the standard small GM unit.

They expect 300 - 350 + bhp from this improved sc, coupled with the usual other mods showo..

It's not just a larger supercharger.

Eaton have redesigned the root's blower lobes so that they give a lot better adiabtic efficiency, better than a lyshome IIRC. So it provides a lot lower outlet outlet temp for the same boost level and power input.

I've been waiting for them to release this as I've had a presentaion on the TVS technology for 3 years.

Edit Question is are coutenays going to use it in their stg 3 build?

the gm kit just hasn't the power gain for the costs involved, but 350+ bhp makes it worth looking into showo..

the Harrop sc is about £1500, so will increase the conversion costs, but a stage three sc conversion will be more than a stage one anyway what..

ive heard the actual sc kit complete comes around the 2k mark then its just the piggyback ecu to sort out, i know you need a special remap by courtney, but 7k,ish fitted is very expensive for that kit

I reckon it maybe dearer than that by the time the job is complete. If you look at the price for the current SC into an Astra you'll be looking at 6k +. I would have thought that the pistons an rods would need replacing if you're going for the 300-350bhp region??
