Jamee - Do you have the 2.4 inlet and/or Cams? If you have, you will need a remap to fully exploit (as im sure you know!) and yes you will indeed get higher figures. Piper cams effective power range are 2000-7000 (you will feel the engine slightly miss, hesitate and generally run rich below this) so you would hit the peak at around 7k and would ideally have the limiter at around 7250rpm to create your raised power band (although valve springs may be needed!).
You car probably was on the limit at 121 because they invariably do the run in 4th gear. That sounds about right for a 5 speed box on a 2.2?
